Confirm sign-in in the app
Companies can switch on an optional two-factor sign-in. Every browser sign-in is then confirmed in the AI-Buddy app with yes or no. Without a phone, a one-time code by email helps. Without the policy switched on, signing in stays exactly as before.
- Policy for owners and admins Owners and admins switch «Confirm sign-in in the app» on and off for their company under Policies. Every change is logged.
- Confirmation in the app Paired devices receive a push notification and confirm or decline the sign-in. An unanswered request expires after two minutes and can be sent again.
- Code by email A six-digit code by email completes the sign-in without a phone. It is valid for ten minutes; after five wrong attempts the request is declined.
- Pair and reset devices A new app device is paired with an email code at its first sign-in. Owners and admins see a person's paired devices and reset the pairing if a phone is lost.
- Pair without signing out If the app was already signed in when the policy was switched on, it offers the pairing itself. A code by email is enough and the session continues.
- A clear message for older apps Older app versions and the desktop app cannot wait for the confirmation. With the policy switched on, they report that the app should be updated or the browser used.
